How we work

With customers ranging from Shell and ABN-AMRO to the UK Government, Competa has built up a reputation for providing high quality IT solutions and services. This reputation has been built through 6 years of selecting best in class staff with a positive attitude to our customers.

What attitude? We aim to build long-term, strategic, partnerships with our customers and are committed to giving the best service available at a realistic price. We understand that selecting the right solution is critical, and when we install something we install the best product for the customer. This is why we do not resell hardware or software products - we want to remain free to use the best products available on the market at any time.

We are very flexible in how we work, and always try to fit in with the standards and preferences of the customer. Our services vary as they are always based on customer requirements, but typically include performing work such as

  • Analysis of technology infrastructure and recommendations for improvements
  • Helping companies to select vendors and partners for large projects
  • Analysing and resolving obscure performance and interoperability problems
  • Implementation and support of complicated IT services such as central file server systems
  • Providing technical staff for specific work on an hourly paid consultancy basis
  • Helping to define organisational structures for the support of large IT environments
