Social (software) Engineering: A developer's take on SCRUM

Agile is becoming an increasingly common buzzword in software development and business, but what does it actually mean for us and for our customers?
This talk will cover the basics of SCRUM implementation before diving into the social implications of this way of working. This is your chance to get your questions answered by a fellow developer with real world experience of what it's like to work in a full blown enterprise SCRUM environment.

About the Speaker

Jim Sangwine started his career as a lecturer in 3D animation at Portsmouth University (UK).
About 7 years ago he began his love affair with code, and moved to the Netherlands in 2007 to join the Competa team as a PHP, C# & Flex developer.
Nowadays he is a lead developer and SCRUM Master working at Philips in Eindhoven, focusing on Agile project delivery and the challenges of working with distributed teams.
