Everyone at Competa shares a passion for information technology and how it can be used to meet the business demands of our customers.
We enjoy working with business people, explaining to them what is possible, explaining how to solve their problems. We work in an informal and relaxed atmosphere where teamwork and cooperation are encouraged. Developers and systems engineers solve problems together, learn from each other, and build complete systems, not just components.
All of our staff are full-time employees and we don't work with freelancers. However several staff have their own small IT company. The experience gained in running a business is valuable and we encourage people to be entrepreneurial, so there is no problem if you want to run your own company on the side.
Diversity is valued, and this is reflected in our International workforce - Competa has employed people from 15 countries and 5 continents. We enjoy our work, and like to work together and share our experiences.

Why I enjoy working for Competa
Capable and fun colleagues, excellent employee benefits, interesting projects, room for personal growth and development, yadda yadda, the usual list.What I like most about Competa is that we are actually treated like human beings instead of money machines. Competa understands that their people are their greatest assets and they go to great lengths to keep them happy. In the end, that's what counts most. Everything else is just a side effect.

The thing Competa has that other companies don't have is a mature, relaxed and very pragmatic way of dealing with their employees and problems that might arise.One of the other great things I like about Competa is that we are not afraid to use external help where we need it. Like the marketing and website design. We don't build some half-arsed site ourselves, but get it done by professionals. I think this reflects our high standards in things we want to achieve.
